Ingredients:
1 package of Indomie Mie goreng
5 (frozen) mandu
2 tsp oil
1 egg
scallion
starch slurry:
½ cup water
1 tbsp cornstarch
½ tbsp rice vinegar
Step-by-Step
In a non-stick pan, heat 2 tsp of oil over medium-high heat
Line your frozen mandu in the middle of the pan and cook for 3 minutes (2 minutes for fresh mandu), just until the bottom starts to brown
Meanwhile: mix all of the ingredients for the starch slurry, whisk until combined
Pour the slurry into the pan, making sure every space between the mandu is covered, reduce the heat to medium heat. This is going to splash everywhere so make sure you shield yourself with the lid of the pan
Cover the pan and cook for 4 minutes
Meanwhile: cook your noodles
Add Indomie in 400mL boiling water, cook for 3 minutes, prepare seasoning, drain the water, and mix with the seasoning
Open the lid, let all the water evaporate, cook for another minute or two to get that crisp bottom
Meanwhile: fry an egg and shred/chop some scallions
Take a plate (smaller than the pan but enough for the mandu) and put it on top of the mandu. Place one hand on the back of the plate, while the other holds the pan. Gently flip the pan to release the mandu to the plate.
Assemble Indomie, mandu, fried egg, and scallion. Enjoy!
