This month has always been my favorite, not just because it’s my birthday month, but also because the sun shines every day, and it's filled with good food and fun yet chill events.
Packing my own lunch, buying take-out meals to eat outdoors, going to parks and beaches, tanning, reading books, BBQs, outdoor markets, fresh colorful food ingredients, tomato season, thrifting, and bar nights—there's just so much to love!
Also, so many people have asked me if I have ever failed, OF COURSE?! Here’s my failure of the month:
Focaccia bread; I fell asleep and the dough overproofed. It was a good dough.. I was deeply sad about this one because I was so excited about making my BLT with it, I had all the ingredients ready :( So I immediately went to the grocery store and bought a regular bread loaf
Tempeh; the fermentation process was contaminated, it grew undesired mold and bacteria, it even smelled like ethanol. The texture and structure were right though. I spent so much time on this, especially peeling off the soybean skin. I did everything very carefully and was happy with everything, but it was ruined in the end. I had to throw everything away :( I need to recover from this
